Sixteen U12 teams competed in the first edition of the Iniesta Cup Soliss, where FC Barcelona was crowned champion

The inaugural edition of the Iniesta Cup Soliss, held in Albacete, concluded with resounding success, establishing itself as a benchmark for U12 football in Spain. Organized by the Iniesta Academy, Escuela de Fútbol Albacer, and NSN, the tournament brought together 16 teams from various regions, including top-tier clubs such as FC Barcelona, Valencia CF, Villarreal CF, and Atlético de Madrid, as well as local teams and the Iniesta Academy from Japan.

FC Barcelona claimed the title after a decisive 5-1 victory against Valencia CF in the final, held at the Campos Municipales Alba Redondo. Over 1,500 spectators attended the more than 30 matches played throughout the weekend, reflecting the strong reception and enthusiasm the event generated within the local community. Andrés Iniesta, the tournament’s founder and a native of Fuentealbilla, was present during the final day to award trophies and spend time with the young players.

The event received support from regional institutions, including the Albacete City Council, the Albacete Provincial Council, the Albacete Municipal Sports Institute, and the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Government. Official sponsors included Caixabank and Coral Fertilizantes, along with collaborators such as Torres, Vinfer Matón, Hotel Bossh Alicia, Golden Bus, and Aquadeus. The main sponsor of the competition was Soliss Seguros, a Castilian-Manchegan insurance company specializing in products for individuals and businesses.

The successful celebration of the first edition of the Iniesta Cup Soliss signals a promising future for the tournament, which aspires to become a benchmark in youth football at both national and international levels. It aims to promote sporting values and provide a platform for the development of young talent.
