Andrés Iniesta has revealed his next steps after leaving professional football during an event produced by NSN and Stoneweg at the America’s Cup Experience center, surrounded by friends, family, and former teammates.
Andrés Iniesta did not announce his retirement from the world of football yesterday. The FC Barcelona and Spanish National Team legend gathered friends, family, and former teammates to share that he will not be stepping away from the sport that has given him so much. The sport he dreamed about when he was just a child in Fuentealbilla, Albacete.
“’The Game Continues’ is a play on words because I cannot be away from football. It has been my life, and it will continue to be so. The construction of what I will be the day after has been step by step,” he explained last Tuesday, October 8, at an event organized by NSN and Stoneweg. “We have been working on several projects for a while now. Recently, I met Jaume Sabater, with whom I’ve connected deeply. I need to learn, and I’m already starting my coaching course as I want to train and develop in this new phase.”
This is how the co-founder of NSN shared what his path will be moving forward. The America’s Cup Experience center was filled with press from around the world and prominent figures from the world of sports. Joan Laporta, Hansi Flick, current FC Barcelona players, and former teammates of the now ex-footballer, such as Xavi Hernández and Gerard Piqué, did not miss the event, which marked a new beginning for Iniesta.
From NSN, it has been a true pleasure to organize an event of this magnitude and be part of such an important moment for our co-founder. We are proud to have supported him throughout all these years and are honored to continue doing so in this new adventure.
