Our co-founder reaches 1,000 games after a long career in different clubs, a milestone achieved by only a few.
At NSN, we’re celebrating! On 1 March, our co-founder Andrés Iniesta played his 1000th professional match. We are very proud that he has achieved this, and to be by his side during all his professional career. We have lived first-hand how Andrés has gotten to a point where very few football players arrive, and he has done it so with effort, perseverance, and, above everything else, passion.
Andrés Iniesta’s career as a football player started at Barça B, the team with which he played 49 matches before becoming a full-time first-team player. It was at FC Barcelona where he delivered the best successes at both individual and team levels, besides being the team with which he played the most games, 674. During his years in the Catalan club, he played 131 matches as an international player at the Selección Española de Fútbol, winning 2 Eurocups and 1 World Championship. After that, he started his years in Japan as captain for Vissel Kobe, playing 134 matches with the Japanese team. He currently plays at Emirates FC in Ras Al-Khaimah, the team with which he has appeared 12 times on the pitch, reaching 1000.
From NSN, we have prepared a commemoration video of such an important event for Andrés. An emotional video in which our co-founder reflects about the highs and lows of his career, his teams, and the fulfilled dream of becoming a professional football player.
Congratulations, Andrés, here’s to many more years together!
