Pere Romeu’s team made their debut on the United States tour against Bay FC with a crushing score (2-5) and with the PayPal Park stadium nearly full.

More than 14,000 people enjoyed the live debut of the Barça women’s team on the USA Tour yesterday. With 14,187 spectators nearly filling PayPal Park, it was an evening of excitement and reunions, thanks to NSN. The Catalan team defeated Bay FC with a clear 2-5 scoreline on a night full of emotions and comebacks, as Barça had to overturn the score twice.

The Americans took the lead with a goal from former Barça player Asisat Oshoala, which was quickly equalized by Portuguese player Kika Nazareth. Before halftime, which ended with a 2-2 score, Kundananji and Caroline Graham Hansen also scored. In the second half, Barça showcased their full potential and secured the win with goals from Mapi León, Claudia Pina, and Patri Guijarro. In the end, it was 2-5 and a great spectacle.

Aitana Bonmatí, 2023 Ballon d’Or winner and one of the club’s stars, expressed her satisfaction with the victory and the image the team projected. “It’s an honor to carry the Barça name worldwide.” This was the first of two matches FC Barcelona will play in the United States in the coming days. The next one will be in Dallas, Texas, against Dallas Trinity FC on August 30.

“Logistically, everything is going super well so far, so congratulations to the organizers,” said Pere Romeu, the newly appointed coach of the Blaugrana team, at a press conference. NSN handled the setup and management of this tour, as well as the halftime show featuring artist El Galgo. For Never Say Never, this is a new opportunity to take the world of football further, bringing it closer to fans and people who want to experience the best fusion of sports and entertainment.
